The City of Round Rock encourages residents to recycle their Christmas trees on Saturday, December 31, 2011 and Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Round Rock Brush Recycling Center located at 310 Deepwood Drive.

Round Rock residents will get more than just a good feeling from recycling their Christmas trees, the City will give away a free small tree (while supplies last, Saturdays only) to residents who bring their Christmas trees for recycling on the two days mentioned above.

Round Rock residents may bring their Christmas Trees to the Round Rock Brush Recycling Center for recycling during any regular operating day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Saturday.

Before recycling your tree, please remove all decorations, nails, wires, ornaments, tree stands, lights, and tinsel. The trees will be shredded into a fine, usable mulch which is free to Round Rock residents for pickup at the recycling center.

Local businesses can also drop off their Christmas trees, and for a small fee ($15 per truckload), businesses that sell Christmas trees can recycle their leftovers as well. For more information, call 218-5540.
